I expect you are aware (via the media) that beauty salons and spas have reopened and I will be providing treatments again from Thursday 23rd July. I am very excited to be able to offer treatments again, however, it is only natural that you might have one or two concerns about resuming close contact with someone outside of your household.
I would like to start by letting you know some of the measures I have put in place to help protect your health and wellbeing at this time:
- I am following guidelines issued by the government, NHS and my professional association the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) regarding safe and hygienic practice and the use of any personal protective equipment (PPE). I will be wearing a visor over my face, but I am also more than happy to wear a mask if you would like me to.
- I have carried out a full risk assessment of my therapy business in order to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus (COVID-19). Please ask if you would like to see a copy.
- I have completed a certified infection control course and introduced enhanced cleaning and hygiene procedures to my practice. The infection control certificate is displayed in the window as you enter the house.
- When I return to providing treatments, I will be closely monitoring my own health, and that of my clients, to ensure neither party is put at risk of contracting COVID-19.
You may also be aware (from the media), that the government has stated that beauty and complementary therapists will not be able to work in front of the face, therefore, I will not be able to offer: facials, lash and brow treatments, facial waxing or massage of the face.
The latest government advice for people in the clinically vulnerable group is that they “should continue to take particular care to minimise contact with others outside their household” (please go to www.gov.uk
If you have any questions or you would like to make an appointment, please do not hesitate to contact me via the contact page, whatsapp, text or telephone. It is very important to me that you feel comfortable having a treatment, so please feel free to ask me anything, no matter how small.
